Volunteers are an integral part of the team at The Story Sanctuary.
We know that people come to volunteering with a broad range of motivations and experiences. We aim to offer opportunities that meet our volunteers’ aspirations as well as our own.
Where we can, we offer both clearly defined, structured roles and less structured, flexible volunteering. You can drop in and out of flexible opportunities as needed.
Specific opportunities will be advertised below but we’re always in need of people to:
• welcome visitors, offer cups of tea and smiles
• support our creative and health practitioners
• help keep the place clean and tidy
• handle donations and keep our resources well stocked
• look after our building and grounds
• support us with outreach and fundraising
• help us with project management.
For more detailed information on how it works, please look at the A Collective volunteering agreement. You do not necessarily need to sign the agreement to be a volunteer with us, but we hope it is useful.
